Sufficient sleep for sufficient power during the day

Sleep is very important. Some need a lot of sleep, others can get by with just a few hours of rest. As we get older, we also need less sleep on average. While children should and need at least nine hours of sleep, eight hours is enough for a young person and between seven and eight hours for an adult. Of course, this can also lead to fluctuations and deviations from person to person. What is the effect of getting enough sleep? What effects can too little sleep have on our lives? Sleep brings peace and the necessary time out for the body to recharge its batteries. The quality of sleep at night determines our coming day. If we had a relaxing, good night, nothing stands in the way of a great day. If the night was not very long or restless, this also affects the day. A lack of sleep can lead, among other things, to poor concentration or depression and have a lasting impact on our health. Getting enough sleep, in turn, drives your immune system. If counting sheep is no longer effective, we recommend putting away your smartphone and all other electronic devices at least an hour before going to bed. There should also be at least an hour between evening workouts and bedtime. With a book, quiet music or while listening to a podcast, calm returns.

For a few years now everyone has been talking about it and it has long been part of the food trend. Is the hype about superfoods like pomegranate, chia seeds, goji berries, matcha, avocado and many more justified? What's behind it? Superfoods are special natural products that are not industrially produced and processed, but completely natural and therefore of very high quality for our body. They come in the form of fruits, berries, seeds, vegetables, and herbs. While the term superfood is often associated with foreign natural products such as goji berries or chia seeds, it also includes local products such as blueberries, flax seeds or pumpkin seeds. Due to their naturalness, they have a very high nutritional value. They contain numerous vitamins, fiber and proteins. So they are very healthy and, thanks to their high nutrient quality, cover the needs of the whole body even in small quantities. Superfoods can be easily integrated into a normal meal. For example, add them to your breakfast.
