Georg Bossong, born in 1948, completed his habilitation in 1977

Heidelberg for Romance Studies and General Linguistics. After working in Paris, Munich and Mannheim, he has been a full professor of Romance Philology at the University of Zurich since 1994 and has also held guest lectureships in European Romania as well as in the USA and Latin America. His main research interests are language typology and universals research, comparisons
